Open your Macintosh
Monitors Control Panel or select
your Windows Display Properties
from the Control Panel.
Set your monitor
to millions of colors (Macintosh), or High Color or True Color (Windows).
Make sure your monitor resolution is 800 x 600 or greater.
If you have a Windows system, a Taskbar loaded with many programs can hinder Britannica 2003 performance. To reduce the number of programs in are on the Taskbar at the bottom of your Desktop, close any unused programs while using Britannica.
Although you do not need an Internet connection to run Britannica 2003, a connection to the Web does allow you to receive updates, search Web sites and online magazines, and explore our library of online videos.
